Samsung has begun distributing a stable Android 9 Pie update for flagship smartphones Galaxy S9 and S9 + last December. Updates are now available in most regions and for most devices. In addition to the mass of pros, the update brought and disadvantages – smartphones are beginning to rapidly lose the charge after the upgrade.
Since December, the problem for the Galaxy S9 and S9 + has not been resolved. With the release of the stable Android 9 Pie update for the Galaxy S8 and S8 +, it became clear that the issue with the discharge is present not only in the Galaxy S9 and S9 +.
At the moment, the abundance of users who have upgraded Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 to a fresh Android version complained of shorter battery life. In some cases, the running time with the screen turned down by almost 40%.
Samsung itself has not yet recognized the problem of discharging officially.
