A few hours ago, the release of the Android One Piece of Android 9.0 Pie, which can already be installed on the most popular Samsung smartphones, which includes the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +. The released new operating system has the status of the final stable version, and it also contains the February Security Patch. So far, the update is available only in Germany, France and the Netherlands, but in the coming days it will be able to install on their gadgets residents of Ukraine and other countries.
You can install the final assembly of the new OS on their smartphones as users who participated in the testing of this software, and those who did not. Samsung’s new One-UI firmware for smartphones brought with it a whole new interface, new sounds and system animations, increased productivity, and fully and completely reworked all standard applications. In other words, the owners of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + should be prepared for the fact that after the installation will have to get used to the new phone literally.
The firmware weighs 1.6 GB, and its build number for Galaxy S8 – G950FXXU4DSBA, while for the Galaxy S8 + model, the G955FXXU4DSBA is used. If you install the update “by air”, then all personal data will be saved. Given the large amount of space needed to upgrade before installing it, it’s best to connect in advance to a high-speed Wi-Fi network and, in addition, charge the battery at least 50%, as the installation can take up to half an hour. Due to the fact that the new operating system on Android 9.0 Pie includes the February patch from Google, the security is at the highest level.
